SHIGGINS - Margaret (Peggy) Rowe St., Wexford (November 26, 2022) Richard and Jim, sons of the late Peggy, wish to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them on the death of Peggy. McDONNELL, Ross Alexander (44 years) (Howth, Co. Dublin and New York, U.S.A.) unexpectedly, on November 5, 2023, much loved son of Maureen and Nicky, beloved brother of Louise and cherished uncle of Eva. He will be very sadly missed by his loving parents, sister, niece, aunt, uncles, cousins, extended family and his many dear friends, LJ, and also his colleagues in Ireland, U.S.A. and around the World. McCLELLAND, (nee Hunter) Julie (1951-2023). The McClelland and extended Hunter family are saddened to announce the death of Julie McClelland on November 20, 2023, after a short illness, surrounded by her children. Julie, beloved wife of the late Colin, much-loved mother of Lauren, Peter and Fiona and loving Grannie to Harry, Lucy, Angus, Finn, Alex and baby Emma. She will be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law Morag, sons-in-law Richard and Neil, brothers and sisters Jane, Christine, Jimmy, the late Maria, John and Stephen, all of her nieces and nephews, wide family circle and many friends. Julie’s funeral service will take place on Friday, December 1 at St Brigid’s Church, Derryvolgie Avenue at 9:30am, followed by burial at Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal at approximately 3pm. A reception with refreshments to follow at the Shandon Hotel, Marble Hill, Co. Donegal. Family flowers only please. HAYES, Dr Liam (Belleville, Ontario. Canada and Westfields, Limerick) - November 3rd 2023. Peacefully after a long illness. Deeply missed by his loving wife Erica, sons Daragh and Brian, daughters-in-law Yuki and Elizabeth, grandson Liam. Predeceased by his parents, sisters Una and the recently deceased Mairead, brother Sean and nephew Tommy. Sadly missed by his sister Maura, brothers Padraig, Michael and Tom, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Celebration of Life was held by his family in Belleville.

FINAN - Susan (née McEntee) (Died October 21, 2023) The family of the late Susan Finan (Cherryfield Rd. Walkinstown and Bailieboro Co. Cavan) wish to express their appreciation to all those who supported them following the recent sad loss of Susan. Grateful thanks to those who sent Mass cards, letters and who attended Susan’s Funeral Mass.

FLYNN - Pat (late of Churchtown Dublin 14 and formerly of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary) - As we remember Pat with much love on his First Anniversary (November 25, 2022), his wife Sandra, sisters Clare, Eimear and Siobhan and brothers Jim, Niall and Cathal wish to sincerely thank our extended families, many dear friends, neighbours, and colleagues who supported and comforted us during his short illness and since his passing. To all those who attended Pat’s Reposal and Funeral Mass (including those who joined online) we deeply appreciated your support and were touched by the affection and esteem in which he was held. To those who sent cards, Mass cards, beautiful letters, and condolences, we are very grateful. Special thanks to Br. Richard Hendrick for his kindness and for making the Funeral Mass so meaningful. We also thank the wonderful musicians who performed at his Mass. Sincere thanks to Fanagans for their professional handling of arrangements. We thank the wonderful staff of SVPH who took such good care of Pat during his illness. Pat’s love of life and generosity of spirit is greatly missed by us all.

STROGEN - Peter, Dr.

Formerly of Blackrock, County Dublin and retired Researcher and Lecturer of Geology at University College Dublin. Passed away peacefully, aged 86 years, at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand on Sunday 12th November, 2023. Dearly loved husband of Rita (nee Burke) and much loved father of Ruth (deceased), Rita (deceased) Rachel (deceased), Damien, and Dominic. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter-in-law Louise and son-in-law Ian. A memorial service was held at St Francis Catholic Church in Thames, New Zealand on Friday 17th November followed by a private cremation service for the family. A life well lived.

O'DWYER - John F. (Jack)

(October 3, 1935 - November 26, 2022) - 

Jack died a year ago on November 26, 2022. He is greatly missed. The O'Dwyer family would like to thank all those who cared for Jack, and supported both him and the family through his illness.
