BIRD, Charlie (Ashford, Co. Wicklow) - March 11th 2024. Died peacefully in the wonderful care of Wicklow Hospice with his family at his side. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Claire, loving daughters Orla and Neasa, little wingman Tiger, his sons-in-law Rob and Aidan, adored grandchildren Charlie, Hugo, Abigail, Harriet and Edward, his extended family, former colleagues and a wide circle of friends both at home and abroad. Remembering also Orla and Neasa’s late mother Mary. A service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held on Thursday (March 14th) at 12 noon in the Round Room, Mansion House, Dublin 2. No flowers, please. Donations if desired to Wicklow Hospice.

LYONS - Nan (nee Knox) (of Portrush) - March 11, 2024 peacefully, at The Royal Victoria Hospital, late of Dunbarton House, Gilford. Cherished wife of Dr Alec Lyons, devoted mother of Diane, Vina and the late Mandy, mother-in-law of Alfred and Nick. Loving Grandmother of Jaimie, Cara, William, Alex and Sophie, great-grandmother of Alex and Max. Also a dear sister of Collie Knox (Portrush).

Funeral Service on (Thursday) March 14, in St Paul’s Parish Church, Gilford at 2pm, followed by burial in Tandragee Presbyterian Churchyard. Family flowers only. Donations if desired

ROSS-MacDONALD, Malcolm, Sunday, February 25th, 2024 (originally from Chipping Sodbury, UK and latterly of Crinkill and Banagher, Co Offaly) - Peacefully at Tullamore Hospital. He was ‘standing and breathing’ until a few days short of his 92nd birthday. After a brief illness, he spent his last days with daughters Petra and Candida, son-in-law Richard and grandchildren Corrina and Myles. He will also be sadly missed by brother David, grandson Oscar, and many friends. Malcolm's remains have been bequeathed to the RCSI as he wished. A memorial gathering to share brief condolences or special memories will be held on Saturday 27th April, 11.30–2pm at Birr Theatre and Arts Centre. Readings and family remembrances at noon, followed by informal refreshments. Donations in Lieu, if wished, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, who greatly enhanced the last year of life for his wife Ingrid.

BEALE, John (Charleston, South Carolina and formerly of Rathgar, Dublin) - March 11, 2024; peacefully, after a short illness borne with humour as only John could do. Sadly missed by his adored and adoring children Ewan, Eva and Julia and by their mother Suzanne. Much loved brother of Sheena, Nick, Denis, Mairead and Yvonne, brother-in-law of Bernie, uncle of Aimee, Stephen and Gavin. He will be much missed by his wide circle of friends. Rest in Peace. KERR, Joy (Joyce) (late of Clontarf and formerly of North Strand, Dublin) – March 9th 2024 unexpectedly but peacefully at the Mater Hospital. Beloved sister of Ena, Eddie and the late Evelyn and Harry. Sadly missed by her loving nieces Tracey, Laura and Sharon, nephew Ross, and their spouses Tom, Stephen, the late Geoff, and Claire, her sister-in-law Bernie and her cherished grandnieces and grandnephews Kirsty, Yasmin, Isabella, Luke, Abby, Chloe, Holly, Alex and Zoe, and her friends and neighbours. KEEGAN, Mary (née Golden) (Rathfarnham, Dublin) - March 10th, 2024. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, while in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and staff at St. James’s Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Edward (Eddie), son Laurence and daughter Frances. Forever loved and sadly missed by her daughters Edel and Bridget, sons Joseph, Edward, Martin and John, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of The Good Shepherd, Churchtown at 12pm today (Wednesday), followed by burial at Mount Venus Cemetery.

ORAM, Hugh (Elmpark Green, Dublin) - 3rd March 2024 peacefully at Wicklow Hospice. Dear husband of Bernadette. Survived by his sisters Kate, Sarah and Emma, brothers Rod and James and their families. Many thanks to kind neighbours and friends and to all the staff at Wicklow Hospice who provided caring and exemplary support. Donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Magheramore, Co. Wicklow. O'LEARY - Kay, (Villa Blanchard, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15) -  March, 10, 2024. Peacefully under the wonderful care and compassion of the staff at Beaulieu House, Moorehall Lodge, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents John and Kathleen and her beloved brother Fr. John O’Leary. Kay will be sadly missed by loving family, sister Maeve, brother Peter, sister-in-law Brenda, nephew Seán, nieces Ann and Deirdre, extended family, neighbours and good friends. May Kay Rest in Peace.
