SMITHERS, (née Brown) Linda (Beneavin House Nursing Home, Glasnevin, Montgorry, Swords, Co. Dublin and Clontarf, Dublin 3) – April 10, 2024, (peacefully), beloved wife of the late Joe and sister of the recently deceased Sandra; lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brother Peter and his wife Ruth, her stepson John, nieces and nephews, extended family especially Charlotte and Tom, and a wide circle of friends. Funeral Service on Monday (April 15) in Clontarf and Scots Presbyterian Church, Clontarf Road at 11 o’clock. Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Crematorium.

DOHERTY, Patricia (Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock, Co, Dublin) - 10th April 2024, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, after a short illness. Beloved daughter of the late Cyril and Anna Doherty, and pre-deceased by her brother John. She will be sadly missed by her nephew Paul and family Bairbre, David, James, extended family, her kind and caring neighbours and friends. Rest in peace. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday (13th April) at 10.00 am in Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Ave., followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery. GANNON, (Ballincar, Co. Sligo, formerly Frenchpark, Co. Roscommon. (Ex Vice Principal of Summerhill College, Sligo) - April 10th, 2024, in the loving care of the staff of Summerville Nursing Home, Strandhill, Co. Sligo. Predeceased by his loving wife Bridie. Dearly loved Dad of Anne, Mary, Deirdre, Liam and Michael. Cherished Papa of Laoise, Conor, Anna and Orla. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law Dave and Frank, brother Gus, sister-in-law Margaret, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Reposing at the Nazareth House Chapel, Church Hill, Sligo from 5pm today (Friday) with liturgy of prayer at 7pm. Funeral to arrive at Saint Columba's Church, Rosses Point, Sligo for Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon tomorrow (Saturday). Burial to follow in Rathcormac Cemetery. GOFF, James 'Jimmy' Sammy Chadwick Davis-Goff of Glen Helen, Isle of Man. On 2nd April 2024, aged 34, in a helicopter accident in the Swiss Alps. Private cremation in Switzerland. Memorial Service in Co. Wicklow in the summer.

ALLEN, George Ernest, 09-05-1939 - 06-04-2024. (The Laurels, Moone, Co. Kildare) - Passed away peacefully at Cloverlodge Nursing Home, Athy, Co. Kildare. A beloved brother, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all his family and friends. The Funeral Cortège will arrive at Newlands Cross Crematorium on Tuesday, the 16th April 2024, for committal service at 11.30am. Memorial service at 2pm that afternoon at The Quaker Ballitore Meeting House Co Kildare. Reception at 3.30pm at The Athy Golf Club, Athy, Co. Kildare. No flowers, please.
