WHELAN - Andrew (late of Camberley, Surrey, England and Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland) - Lovingly remembered today on the first anniversary of his death June 11, 2023. Sadly missed by his siblings Senan, Mary and Carol. Andrew died unexpectedly, though peacefully, in hospital after battling illness courageously and cheerfully to the very end.

The Whelan Family extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us during this very difficult time; your condolences, Mass cards, phone calls and flowers were all gratefully received. A very special 'thank you' to his best friend Julie Peters, who was there for him through thick and thin to the very end. Words are inadequate to express our gratitude for your many kindnesses to our brother.

A huge 'thank you' to all who attended the memorial, held for Andrew on his Birthday April 13, 2024; your presence on the day meant so much to us, heartfelt gratitude to all.

The support we received from Fr. Paul Taylor and his personal assistant Mary exemplified the true meaning of Christianity. We thank you most sincerely.

Darling Andrew, you are hugely missed every single day, but then we remember that you are only gone to God and God is very near.

DELANEY, John Bosco (Rathgar, Dublin and formerly of Portlaoise) - June 5, 2024 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of Edel and adored father of Robert and Katie. Predeceased by his brother Loughlin and sister Mary. He will be greatly missed by his family, brother Joe, sisters Rena, Sheila and Madeleine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, 54, Aungier Street, Dublin 2 tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon from 3 to 5pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of Mary Immaculate Refuge of Sinners, Rathmines arriving for 10am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery, Harold’s Cross.

POWELL, June (née Bennett) Birr, Co. Offaly. Died on her ninety-fourth birthday, June 5, 2024. Wife of the late Stephen. Much loved mother of Caroline (Miskin), Michael and Hilary (Edghill). Will be sadly missed by her children, son-in-law Albert, grandsons;Tom, Ross and Owen, their partners Jen and Gill, her extended family and many friends. Following private cremation, a Service of thanksgiving for her life will take place in St. Brendan's Church of Ireland, Birr, on Monday June 10, at 3pm.

BOLAND, Larnie (Laurence), (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) June 6, 2024. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of Dr Liam Smyth and his team at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved parents Maureen, Colm and Pearl. Loved husband of Jackie and father of Sarah, Emilie, Rebecca and Jake. Sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, grandchildren Grace, Jamie, Issy, Ollie, Luke, Frankie, Matilda, Lochlan, Clody and Mikey, sons-in-law Mark, Jamie and Dave, daughter-in-law Maeve, sisters Ann, Sheelagh and Mairead, brother Martin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends from all over the world. Larnie will be reposing on Sunday (June 9) at Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown A94 XK28 from 2pm to 4pm. BRADLEY - (née McCorley) Catherine Una (Stillorgan, Dublin) - June 5, 2024, in her ninety-seventh year. Peacefully in the care of the wonderful staff at the Fern Dean Nursing Home, Blackrock. Predeceased by her husband Jack her sister Maeve and brothers Roger, Kevin and Pearse. Much loved by her son John Anthony, daughter-in-law Orla and adored grandchildren Michele, Gerard, Jennifer, Emma and Katie. Very sadly missed by her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass today (Friday) at 10 o'clock in Church of St. Laurence O'Toole, Kilmacud, Co. Dublin followed by Burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
