MURPHY - (née Wade) Dolores (Sutton, Dublin 13) 19 June 2026. Peacefully at home. Beloved wife of Joe and loving mother of Aidan, Fiona, Niall, Joanne and the late baby Paul. She will be very sadly missed by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, in-laws, extended family and friends. Reposing at home on Wednesday evening, 24 June, from 5 pm to 7 pm. DORAN - Joan Elizabeth (née Byrne) June 18, 2026, Sutton Park and formerly of Glasnevin. Peacefully after a short illness, in the gentle care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Gregory, parents William Byrne (of Shamrock Cottages) and Alice Byrne (née OBrien, Glasnevin) and her siblings Peter, Muriel and Pat. Sadly missed by her loving children Joseph, Roslyn, Juliet and Andrew, their partners, her brother Vincent and sister-in-law Yvonne, her adored grandchildren Naoise, Brendan, Daithí (and their mother Emma), Joey, Katie, James, Christian and Bradán, her great-grandchildren Lily, Charlie, Cian and Nancy, also very sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, her exceptional carers, friends and neighbours. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all Joans wonderful carers and the nursing staff who looked after her with such kindness. MURTAGH - The death has occurred of Martha Murtagh (née Healy), Dunheeda, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan and formerly of Garrafrauns, Co. Galway, peacefully and surrounded by her family at Cavan General Hospital, June 20, 2026. Predeceased by her brother Noel and her sister Anne.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Brendan, her sons Alan and Fergal, her daughters-in-law Kathryn and Monique, her cherished grandchildren Eoin, Onna, Isabelle, Ben, Cameron, Marco and Bella, her sisters Maureen, Joan and Helene, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Ian Breakey (Gezer, Israel, formerly of Westbourne Road, Terenure, Dublin). Artist, chef and kibbutznik. 18th June 2026, suddenly, at home in Israel, after a long illness borne bravely and with unfailing cheerfulness. Deeply regretted by his beloved wife Limor, his sister Hilary Daly, his children Avon, Peri, Liam and Siân, daughters-in-law Chen and Yuval, son-in-law Amit, brother-in-law Stephen Daly, sister-in-law Hilary Kirkpatrick, former wife Hanna, his dear nieces and nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends including former pupils of Wesley College. Pre-deceased by his brother, Robert Kirkpatrick and his parents Billy and Betty.

The funeral took place in Israel on 19th June.

FAHY - (Mary) Eileen (née Powell) (Donnybrook, Dublin and Galway City) -

Died June 17, 2025.

On the first anniversary of Eileens death Peter, Arabella and Christine would like to express our sincere gratitude to those who were important to her and made her life interesting and comfortable until the end.

Mums sister Anne and brother Colm were always nearby by phone for daily chats and visits from Galway.

Our spouses Linda, John, and Des and Mums seven cherished grandchildren were a constant source of love and support, and brought her great comfort and happiness.

Thank you to Mum and Dads extended families (the OReillys and Fahys) and to Mums close friends for frequent visits, letters, and calls. Eileen loved to know what was happening and be part of everything.

Thank you to all the terrace neighbours especially Susie and Aengus, and Claire and Kevin. She loved the parties and you brought them to her when she could no longer get out.

The Medical Care Mum received was wonderful - thank you to all at Ranelagh Medical especially Dr Jean Gallagher and Dr Sonja Kidney. Thank you also to the Palliative Care community team from Our Ladys Hospice for supporting Mum at home, especially Marie, and Brid.

Both Mum and Dad could not have spent their last years at home without the extraordinary dedication and companionship of Diane. Thank you also to Rookie and Elis for your excellent care and kindness in the last few years. Thank you to Minerva and the many other carers, the community team from Clonskeagh and other healthcare professionals who kept Mum comfortable living at home.

We are deeply grateful for the spiritual support Eileen received. Our sincere thanks to Sr Fiona whose visits brought Mum great comfort and peace. Thank you to Fr Gerard Tyrrell who visited Mum in her final hours. We also wish to thank Fr Pat Sheehy who con-celebrated Mums Funeral Mass with such dignity and warmth. A very special word of thanks to Fr Sean Ford a close family friend for his unwavering kindness, friendship and guidance.

Thank you to all our friends and colleagues who supported us during the last year, and throughout the years.

RYAN - Muriel, wife of Ken, Dalkey, Co. Dublin (née Lowry) retired Artistic Director, Abbey Stained Glass Studios . Passed away peacefully, June 18th, 2026, aged 79 years and cared for with kindness and compassion in Marlay Nursing Home, Rathfarnham, for the past two years, previously cared for at home by Aileen and Ken with the aid of HSE and Private Nurses for five years. Formerly married to Enda Wymes who died aged 38, they had three children, Marina Sloan (Wymes), Aileen Wymes and Charles Wymes. Muriel was married a second time to Ken Ryan for over forty years after Kens wife Eileen McSweeney (Inchigeela) also died aged 38, in Zimbabwe. Muriels late parents were Charles Lowry and wife Anne Rooney. Her late sister Rosaleen Lowry was cared for by The Daughters of Charity, Clonsilla for fifty years and her late brother Noel Lowry was Professor and Paediatric Surgeon in Saskatoon, Canada. Extended Lowry Families in Canada and extended Sloan / Wymes Families in Bath, UK and Aileens partner Paul Martin. Muriel will repose in Quinns of Glasthule, Monday (June 22nd) from 4pm to 6pm.

Removal Tuesday (June 23rd) to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on the link below followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
