HARPUR - Greenlake, Forth Mountain, Wexford. One Month Anniversary

Died: Tuesday May 13, 2025. We extend our continued condolences to our colleague, Stephen Harpur, on the one - month anniversary of the passing of his father, John.

Our thoughts remain with the Harpur family, John’s wife Sarah and daughter Becky, during this time of remembrance.

May his memory be a source of strength and peace.

CAWLEY - Patricia (Trish) (née Doyle) (Longwood, Florida, formerly of Sydney Parade Ave, Sandymount, Dublin 4, and the former Cill Dara Hotel). Died peacefully on June 4, 2025, aged 92, surrounded by her loving family. A wonderful mother to Cathryn, Mark, Maryann, Michael, James and Helen. Her husband James Cawley of Cashel passed away in 2008 at the age of  82. From a modest background and raised in Clarinbridge, Galway, Trish was a trailblazer; an independent, beautiful, glamorous, strong, intelligent, driven business woman who achieved success in the 70s and early 80s in an Ireland very different to the Ireland of today. Trish loved her family and made it her life’s work to provide her children with the tools and education to navigate and succeed in today’s world. Thank you Mom. Rest in Peace. We miss you already. A celebration of Trish’s life will take place in Dublin later this year, details to be provided.

REEVES - George (Ahare, Castletown, Co. Wexford and formerly of Shelbourne Rd, Ballsbridge, Dublin). Slipped away peacefully on June 11, 2025 in the loving care of the staff of Gorey District Hospital. George, beloved husband of the late Dorothy (née Geoghegan) and adoring father of Elizabeth, Evelyn, Jim and Dermot. Sadly missed by his sons, daughters, adored grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, extended family, relatives, and friends. Reposing at Murphy's Funeral Home, The Avenue, Gorey on Saturday June 14 from 4pm until 8pm. Removal from Murphy's Funeral Home on Monday June 16  at 10am to St. Patrick's Church Castletown for Funeral Mass at 10.30am followed by Committal Service in the Garden Chapel Mount Jerome Crematorium at 2.15pm followed by Cremation. Family Flowers only please Donations if desired to The Friends of Gorey District Hospital.

DAY - In loving memory of Ann Day (née Hinde) of Churchtown, Dublin who died June 13, 2006 and her husband Jack who died June 28, 1989.

MULDOWNEY - Paul (Strandhill, Co. Sligo) – (Eighth Anniversary today), his beloved wife Bernie (née Noone) who died September 18, 2018. Both dearly missed and remembered with love by all the family and extended family.

LYONS - John H, age 75, of Cahergal, Clonbur, County Galway, and formerly of Killiney, County Dublin, passed away peacefully on June 10th, 2025, surrounded by his family. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Caroline. John will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children David, Emily, Philip and Tara; his cherished grandchildren Daisy, Jack, Ferdia, Harry, Dorothy, Lochlainn and Beau; his daughters-in-law Breda and Suzanne; his son-in-law Colm; his brothers Lorcan and Rory; extended family and a wide circle of friends. A legend. A lover of life, music and fishing, he always had a twinkle in his eye. There was no one like him. The family will be forever grateful to all the staff at The Galway Clinic and Wicklow Hospice for their compassion and for the exceptional standard of care that he received. Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Clonbur, Co. Galway (F12 N9T8) on tomorrow Friday, June 13th, from 4:30–6:00pm, with the Funeral Mass to be held at midday on Saturday, June 14th, in St. Patrick’s Church, Clonbur. The Funeral will then proceed to Shannon Crematorium, where a short service will be held at 4:00pm. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to Wicklow Hospice.

COSTELLO, Vincent (Leopardstown, Dublin 18 and formerly of Skehana, Co. Galway) – 10th June 2025. Peacefully, at Fern Dean Nursing Home. Predeceased by his brothers Sean and Brendan. Beloved husband of Pauline and loving father of Ciaran, Declan, Cartan and Ultan. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law Mamen, Jennifer, Niamh and Pili; his eleven grandchildren, Liam, Aoibh, Mairead, Diego, Ana, Pearse, Elena, Paddy, Fintan, Seanie and Éabha; sisters Marie and Annette, brother Tom as well as his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Vincent will be reposing tomorrow (Friday) 13th June at Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown A94 XK28 from 5pm to 7pm. Reception prayers on Saturday 14th June at 10.15am with Funeral Mass at 10.30am in Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock (D18 N2F7) followed thereafter by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. HEAPHY, Tony (William Anthony), 10th June 2025, Rathgar formerly of Cork and Irish Sugar. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his sisters. Beloved husband of Nuala, father of Paula, Deirdre, Jennifer and David. Tony will be forever loved and sadly missed by his wife and family, sons-in-law Liam, Neil and Gerry, daughter-in-law Sorcha, his adored grandchildren Guy, Hugo, Marcus, Zach, Martin, Kai and Julia, extended family, relatives and friends. Tony’s Funeral Mass will take place on Friday morning 13th June at the Church of Saint Columbanus and Saint Gall, Milltown at 10.00am followed by burial at Kilternan Cemetery Park. LOGAN - Pamela (Islandbridge, Dublin / Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh) -

The family of the late Pamela Logan extend our heartfelt thanks for all expressions of sympathy, cards, tributes and support shown to us in our recent bereavement. We especially appreciate Pamela’s friends, and her former colleagues from the Irish Pharmaceutical Union, who travelled some distance to attend the wake and funeral. Thanks in equal measure for the warmest sympathies received by us from the local community.

Sincere thanks to Father Raymond Donnelly for his kind words of comfort during the Requiem Mass, to those who participated in the Liturgy and to Sharon and Mary for their lovely musical contribution. A special word of appreciation is owed to John and Paul McKeegan, and Len Carberry, for their kind support and professionalism in regards to the funeral arrangements. Further thanks is extended to Ian Fee and Declan Finnegan of Lakeland Crematorium for their expert guidance.

Our sincere appreciation is offered to the medical staff at the Hermitage Hospital, Harold’s Cross Hospice and Grafton Medical Practice for their professional care and kindness to Pamela. We are also grateful to staff at Haven Greene’s Pharmacy in Rathfarnham for their kind assistance.

Pamela’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held at St Michael’s Church, Enniskillen, on Saturday, June 14, at 6pm.
