Gerry passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16th 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and best friend Denise (née Sheils) and his adoring children Gerard, Jeff and Laura. He will be dearly missed by his cherished sisters Sheena and Verona, daughters-in-law Louise and Carol, son-in-law Matt, and grandchildren Leo and Claire, as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Requiem Mass in St. Josephs Church, Glasthule on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00am, followed by a service at Newlands Cross Cemetery & Crematorium. JOHNSTON - Micheal (Mike), Sandycove, Co. Dublin, died peacefully on 4th October 2025 in Ashford House Nursing Home, Dun Laoghaire. Husband and best friend of Pat; beloved father of Brigid, Becky, Luke (deceased), Anna and Josh; Grandfather of Zac, Megan, Aoife, Matthew, Ben and Fern. Mike will be greatly missed by them, their partners Scott, Ferdia, Aisling and Niall, his extended family, and his many friends in Ireland and around the world. Thanks to the wonderful staff of Ashford House, GP Maeve Kelly, and Diane, a true superhero. Mike has donated his body to medical science (RCSI).

On Wednesday 29th October, his 90th birthday, two events will happen to celebrate Mike's life and work.

At 11am, Mike's extended family and friends will gather to say their goodbyes to him in St Patrick's Church, Harbour Road, Dalkey, Co. Dublin.

Then, at 4pm, a celebration of his life and work will take place in Monkstown Parish Church.

All welcome to one or both.

Both events will be streamed and recorded.

Elizabeth (Betty), (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and late of UCD) October 15, 2025. Peacefully, in her 101st year, in the wonderful care of the staff in the Belmont Nursing Home and the palliative team from the Blackrock Hospice. Beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget and sister to the late Rev. Bertram, Louis and Harry. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Imelda and Ena, nieces and nephews Annemarie, Pat, Harry, Brian, Neil, Catherine, Deirdre, Patrick and Louis, grand nieces and nephews, great-grandnephew, extended family, neighbours and friends. Removal arriving this Monday morning (October 20) at 9.40am with Reception Prayers and words of appreciation at 9.45am followed by Funeral Mass at 10am in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery. For those who cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed on line using the Church webcam. Sympathy messages for Betty’s family can be left in the ‘Condolence’ section on RIP. Family flowers only please. KENNEDY - Donal, beloved husband of Barbara, cherished father of Brian and doting grandfather of Gabrielle and Ruaridh, died peacefully at home in London on 9 October, 2025. He was a dear brother, uncle and friend to many. Formerly of Howth, his passion for Irish history and his writings gained him friends across the globe. He will be deeply missed but will be forever in our hearts and his warmth and kindness will live on in the memories he gifted us. SIMPSON - Evelyn Anna of Holt, Norfolk,

peacefully at King's Court Care Home, on October 5, 2025, aged 87 years.

Beloved wife of the late Peter, mother of William, Marcus, Edward and Caroline, grandmother of Charles, Caleb, Amelia and Isobel.

Will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The funeral will be held at Cromer Crematorium, on October 25, at 11am.
