FITZPATRICK, (nèe Quinn) Elizabeth (Lily) October 31, 2021 (Railway View, Athlone, formerly of Bunnahinly, Co. Westmeath) - Peacefully, in her 89th year, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family at home. Predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband Pat. Deeply mourned by her sons Joseph and John, daughters Elizabeth, Patricia, Paula, Ita and Joan, sons- in-law Geoff, Kevin and Mike, grandchildren Lauren, Robert and Chloé, sister-in-law Peggy, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace. Lily’s Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Franciscan Church, Athlone, tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 11.00 o’clock, with burial afterwards in Cornamagh Cemetery. House private, please. Pre-deceased his sisters Noreen (Reck) and Eileen (Maguire) and his brothers Johnny and Fr. Thomas (Trenton, New Jersey). Sadly missed by his loving nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Beloved husband of the recently deceased Patricia, dear father of Patricia, Garrett, Rory McConn, Lochlann and Russell and father-in-law of the late Lolita. McGEACHIN, Alistair George, (Three Mile Water, Wicklow, formerly of Glasgow). October 31, 2021, peacefully in the tender care of Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home. Predeceased by his much loved and loving wife of 60 years Joan (nee Falkiner). Father of Verna, Margaret and Diana. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, son-in-law Hugh, grandchildren Iain, Patrick, Caitlin and Paul, sister Marion, brother Bill, his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Huge thanks to all the staff at Blainroe Lodge for the wonderful care Alistair received over the last 4 years and particularly in his final days; we will be forever grateful. McDOWELL, Denis (Ballsbridge, Dublin) - 29th October 2021, peacefully after a short illness in the excellent care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital; beloved husband of the late Catherine and loving father of John Paul, Jessica, Kate, Andrew and Dermot. He will be sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law Thecla and Catriona, sons-in-law John and Paul, grandchildren Jack, Clara, Melissa and Stephen, Ciara, Lizzie and Beatrice, Anna, Max and Luke, Elsa and Leon, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and his wide circle of great friends. FANNING, Christina (Chrissie) (née Foley) (Oaklawn, Athgoe North, Newcastle, Co. Dublin and formerly of Bough, Rathvilly, Co. Carlow) - 29th October 2021, peacefully in the exceptional care of all at The Hermitage Clinic; pre-deceased by her husband Paddy, son James and sister Patricia (Delaney). Sadly missed by her loving family Elaine, Ann, Colm and Deirdre, sons-in-law Pat and Ger, daughter-in-law Ruth, brothers Dan and Ger, sisters Anna, Mai and Betty, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, her 11 adored grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.
