BYRNE - (née McDermott), Mary Teresa. Donnybrook, Dublin 4 and formerly of Castletown, Co. Westmeath. Peacefully in her sleep in the morning of August 21, Mary passed away having spent her last weeks in the loving care of her children. Predeceased by her son Dermot (died in infancy), parents Honora and Patrick, she will be forever loved and deeply missed by her loving daughters, Olive, Marion and Clare and her son, John, her sons-in-law, Mark Mariotti and Aran O’Donoghue and her daughter-in-law, Erika Fagan, her grandchildren Luca, Chloe, Olivia, Elsbeth, Tomas and Zac and her most loving sister, Catherine Hennigan as well as all her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her wide circle of friends. The Byrne Family would like to express their gratitude to all the Staff at Orwell Private and to Bluebird and the Donnybrook Church community for the respect and care they showed to Mary. Reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, 6 Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road, Dublin 4, D04 X446 (opposite the UCD flyover), on Thursday evening, 27th August, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 28th August at 1pm, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook, Dublin 04 HW82, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium at 3.15pm. Donations, in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Blackrock Hospice at www.olh.ie.

KENT - Anne (née Campbell) of Glenageary, Co Dublin. 21st August 2026, passed peacefully after a brief illness in St Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved wife to Karl, mother to Katie and Brian, sister to Marion, Patrick and the late Eimear, sister-in-law to Gertrude, Marina, Sue, Paul and the late Richard, mother-in-law to Etaoin and Cormac. Anne will be missed terribly by all her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, but most of all by her favourite people in the world, her grandchildren Miles, Ted, Leila, and Nessa. May she rest in peace. Anne will repose in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown on Wednesday (August 26) from 4pm to 6pm – you are welcome to join us. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday (August 27) at 2.30 pm in Mount Jerome Victorian Chapel, Harold’s Cross. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Fighting Words.

Neil (The Links, Seapoint, Termonfeckin, Co Louth) -

August 21, 2026. Suddenly, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his daughter Jane and his brother John. Beloved husband of Marie, loving father of Ruth, Rachel and Neil. Deeply regretted by his wife and family, sons-in-law Brendan and Ronan, his three treasured grandsons Jack, Lars and Thomas, his brother Brian and sisters Felicity and Liz, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at his home on tomorrow (Wednesday) from 4.30pm until 6.30pm. House private at all other times. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 10.30am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Termonfeckin. Burial afterwards in Termonfeckin Old Cemetery. Family flowers only.
