DUTHIE, William Arthur (peacefully), in hospital - April 23, 2016, aged 85, beloved husband of the late Olive and father of the late Ian; sadly missed by sister-in-law Anna, nieces, nephews, friends and the dedicated carers who supported him at home over the past 2 years of declining health. His home was very important to Arthur. There he selflessly devoted many years to caring for Ian and Olive and he pursued interests in music, literature, writing, gardening and, not least, his daily crosswords! Despite his own troubles Arthur's intellect, wit and kindness touched and inspired all who knew him. He has donated his body to Trinity College School of Medicine. His family and friends intend to arrange a commemorative event in the near future.
