DUNNION, Gerard (Phibsborough, Dublin 7 and formerly of Castlefinn, Co Donegal) - October 18, 2016. On this, the First Anniversary of our beloved Gerry, Nicola, Sadhbh and Manus, along with Gerry's mother Peggy, sister Mary and brothers John, Joseph and Cyril as well as the extended Dunnion and Brennan families wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy, cards and letters received over the past twelve months. We thank our wonderful Shandon neighbours for their help and support. We sincerely thank all those who assisted in the funeral, especially John Brady for providing such beautiful music. We are so grateful to our cousin, Monsignor Denis Carlin, who travelled so far to celebrate the Mass. Fr. Denis's stories of his wee cousin brought a smile to us all. The large number of family, friends and colleagues who attended both the wake and funeral brought great comfort to us and was a wonderful tribute to Gerry. We offer our sincere thanks to the medical staff of the Mater Hospital who looked after Gerry, especially the ICU nursing team. We also offer heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mary-Carmel Burke and Peter McCartan for their wonderful care. We sincerely thank our UCD colleagues for their support and kindness during this most difficult year. Gerry's First Anniversary Mass will take place on Sunday, October 15 at 11:30am in Church of the Holy Family, Aughrim Street. Mairfidh sé go buan agus
go deo inár gcroíthe.
