KEANEY - Niall (Retreat Park, Athlone, Co. Westmeath) -
Remembering with love on Nialls First Anniversary March 4, 2020. Greatly missed by his loving family, Mary, Jim, Patrick, Derbhla, brother-in-law Brian, devoted partner Rachel, adoring nieces Hannah, Grace and Annabelle and extended families from Leitrim and Galway. Together with all our families we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who offered messages of condolences, called and attended Niall's wake and funeral Mass. We also extend our appreciation to those, whom travelled long distances to be with us. We have been overwhelmed by the countless letters, Mass cards, messages of condolences, flowers, and generous donations received for South Westmeath Hospice. We are so grateful to our wonderful friends and neighbours who supported us and helped us in so many ways. A very special thank you to the medical team who cared for Niall. All the staff at St James Hospital, Oncology Department, ICU, Donal Hollywood ward, palliative care team, Dr Sinead Cuffe, Dr Ronan Ryan, Dr Conor Lynam and all the staff at Newtown Medical Centre. All who provided exceptional care for Niall throughout his illness. A special word of thanks to the 2nd Westmeath Scouts (Athlone), Sean and Keith who attended and provided a guard of honour for Niall at the funeral Mass. Scouts played an important part in Nialls life right until the end, gave him great times and fantastic opportunities where he made friend for life. Thank you. To Niall's wide circle of friends from Retreat, school, college, scouts and work, we are so grateful for the love and support you showed Niall throughout his illness. Beautiful shared memories have been received over the last year from you all, and we will treasure them forever. To Fr Declan, whose words and prayers at his beautiful Mass were a great comfort to us all, and to all that helped during the Mass in honouring Niall's life through wonderful music, song, prayer and stories. It was truly memorable, and we will treasure it forever. A special thanks to Niall Flynn, of Flynn funeral directors, for his kindness, professionalism, and his organisation in the arrangements for Nialls Funeral. Fr. Declan will offer Mass for all your intentions as it would not be possible to personally thank you all. Niall's First Anniversary Mass will stream live on Sunday, March 14, at 12.45pm on and www.churchservices.tv/stmarysathlone We are blessed to have Niall as a very special son, brother, partner, uncle, grandson, nephew and best friend.
