SWEENEY, Patricia (née Tracey) (Formerly of Killiney and Monkstown) – March 13, 2020 (Peacefully) in her 95th year, surrounded by her adored family, in the exceptional care of the staff of Belmont Nursing Home, after a long illness. Pre-deceased by her beloved husbands Brian McCormack and Frank Sweeney ; she will be greatly missed by her children Paul, Brian, Caroline, Nikki, Brody, Greig and Laura and their respective spouses, her many grandchildren (including darling Sam), great grandchildren, extended family and great friends both here in Ireland and overseas. May she rest in peace. A private family Funeral will take place this weekend owing to Government advice regarding public gatherings in light of the much recent threat from the Coronavirus. This will be restricted to immediate direct family only. The family specifically request that you do not attend. We intend having a full celebration of Patricia’s life at a later stage once public safety measures have been relaxed. Donations if desired can be made in Patricia’s name to the Irish Cancer Society. Those of you who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave your personal message in the Irish Times online notices condolences section.
