TAAFFE - Jack (John A.) (May 14, 2023) ('Auteven', Rathcolman, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Athy, Co. Kildare.)

On this, the first Anniversary of his death, Jack's wife Frances, children, Jon, Karen, Conor, Leslie, Paul and Josef, his surviving brothers, Frank and Tony, grandchildren and extended family would like to express their heartfelt and sincere thanks to everyone who offered sympathy and support following Jack's passing. Thank you to all who visited our home, attended the reposing, funeral Mass and burial and sent sympathy cards, Mass cards, letters and floral tributes. Thank you also to those who travelled long distances to be with us and those who shared kind messages and happy memories on RIP.ie. We would also like to acknowledge those who were unable to attend but who joined us via webcam.

A very special word of gratitude to Fr. Phil Gaffney Adm. for his celebration of the funeral Mass; we are very grateful for his support, guidance and presence with us during this time. Our sincere thanks also to the concelebrating clergy, Fr. Oliver Leavy and Fr. Stan Deegan.

Thank you also to the musicians, flautist Helen Glennon, soloist Ann Caulfield, organist Gerard Lillis and violinist Kira Taaffe, whose beautiful music enhanced the funeral Mass.

Sincere thanks to the emergency services who assisted us with great empathy and compassion on Jack’s passing.

We are deeply grateful to Con Gilsenan and his team at Gilsenan's Funeral Directors, Mullingar who supported and guided us with kindness and professionalism.

Our gratitude also to Fr. Phil Gaffney Adm. for his presence at the burial, to the grave diggers at Walshestown Cemetery and the sacristans at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep and sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
