HENRY, Mary Elizabeth (May) (Oakfield, Sligo, London and Dublin) - On April 21, 2020, in her 106th year in the kind care of the staff at St Mary’s Hospital. Beloved daughter and last surviving child of Lawrence (1944) and Elizabeth (née Regan) (1981), B.A., M.A., UCD (1940) (French and English), London Arts School (1950). Artist, linguist, pianist, children’s author and teacher. Much loved and admired aunt and gran aunt. May will be missed by her nephews and nieces and their families, including Joan O’Connor and family (Rathmines), Elizabeth Henry and family (Glasnevin), the Mulcahy family (Malahide), the O’Connor family (Clontarf), the Henry families (Dublin and Galway), the O’Donnell family (Foxrock) and the O’Hara family (Roscommon). Removal to the family plot in Sligo where a private Funeral will take place, owing to Government restrictions regarding public gatherings.
