MEEHAN, Eileen (née Higgins) (Malahide, Co. Dublin) - April 1, 2017, (peacefully), after a short illness bravely borne, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Bon Secours Hospital surrounded by her loving family, Eileen was a dearly beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister; she will be very sadly missed by her husband Peter, daughters Fiona and Eimear, sons Kevin and David, father Robert, brothers Joe and Alan, mother-in-law Derinella, brothers and sisters-in-law, extended family and many friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing this (Tuesday) afternoon in Stafford's Funeral Home, Strand Road, Portmarnock from 5pm until 7pm. Removal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning to the Church of The Sacred Heart, Seabury, Malahide arriving for 10 o'clock Funeral Mass followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery. Family flowers only please - Donations if desired to Irish Cancer Society. Enquiries to Stafford's Portmarnock 01 8462620.

I have only heard of this news and we are so saddened by Eileen's passing. I always thought I would pass her again in the village in her tennis whites or walking with Peter. Helen, Mick, Aidan & Pierce send our love to the family.
