EDGAR Honor (née Getty) - May 29, 2013, (peacefully), after a short illness, having reached her 90th birthday, beloved wife of the late Sam; will be sadly missed by her sons Robert, Michael and daughters Patsy, Berta, Kate, Jackie, grand children and great-grandsons, and the late Brian. Known to many as Honor Moore, President of the Irish Food Writers Guild. A Service of Thanksgiving for Honor's life will be held tomorrow (Friday) May 31st at 12.00 o'clock in Christ Church, Rathgar (Presbyterian). House private. Body donated to medical science.

<p>A lovely person.</p> <p>I am greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Honor. A highly intelligent and lovely person, her indepth knowledge of world and Irish affairs was prodigous. Of all the people in the world I have met, I will always remember Honor as being one of the most intelligent I have ever known. I was priviliged to know Honor personally for many years, and, often sat at her table partaking of many a wonderful dish, expertly prepared as was usual. Ireland will be all the poorer for her passing. My sincere condolences to all her family. May her lovely soul rest in peace.</p>
