MANGAN Gerard (Gerry). On this our beloved father's first anniversary (July 15, 2017), his much-loved children, Ciarán, Pádraig, Gearóid, Sinéad and Siobhán along with their partners and children would like to thank most sincerely the many people who sympathised with us, supported us and comforted us during our very sad and sudden loss. We are particularly grateful to the many family members who took time to visit Dad in his last week and who shared wonderful and loving memories they had of both our parents. The memories shared, and the love shown by his siblings, family, friends and neighbours, reflected the deep love and affection Gerry was held in by all who knew him. We are extremely grateful to the wonderful staff in St Teresa's Ward, Beaumont Hospital. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Bereavement Team at the Church of the Holy Child, and to An Garda Síochána for making his last journey so peaceful. To our friends and extended family who attended the repose and funeral, particularly those who travelled long distances from home and abroad to be with us and to those who sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy or charity donations, your support and presence meant so much to us all. Please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation. We are celebrating Dad's first anniversary mass today and a prayer of gratitude will be offered for each of you. We also remember with deep love and a continued sense of loss, our mum, Mavis Mangan (née Carey) whose fourth anniversary occurs on July 21, and take great comfort in knowing that they are together again and looking after us from above. Those who are truly loved, never die.
