Condolences from Canada

Veronica Swan, my mother, is Gerard's sister. She has great memories of growing up with Gerard and all the other family members in Nenagh. She enjoyed seeing Gerard again on a visit to Ireland in 2011. Recently, my mother and Gerard had started to phone each other frequently. He had just phoned her last Sunday, which delighted my mother! She was very fond of Gerard, and proud of his life's accomplishments as a Peace Keeper in the Irish Army. Our condolences go out to the Manning family. (Deirdre Swan)
