FITZGIBBON, Professor Adele Francis F.R.C.S. - January 8, 2017, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham following a short illness, beloved wife of Noel and devoted mother to Marianne and Michael; sadly missed by mother Margaret and sister Lorna and her partner Geoff and all Irish relations. Private cremation. Memorial service to be arranged later.

<p>Adele Francis</p> <p><span>My heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Adele Francis. I did not know her personally, but are paths crossed through a dear friend of mine who was undergoing breast surgery at the Queen Elizabeth hospital.</span><span>After she had performed the surgery on my friend, she came along for post op chat and I found her warm, engaging and very reassuring about the outcome of the operation. I t is truly sad when someone who prolongs life is taken away from us so soon. For what she did for my friend I will be eternally grateful and may she rest in everlasting peace. Jane Lee (nee Cadman) Have very fond memories of Adele from Malvern Hall School for girls in Solihull. I can picture her now - wild long flowing wavy hair and her bright loons & afghan coat. She was always great fun. My condolences.
