On this the first anniversary of Paddy’s passing, he is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Mary, sons Seán and Pádraig, daughter Eilís, sister Maureen Hussey (Ballina), brother Noel Conroy and his wife Mary (Dublin), son-in-law Stephen, daughters-in-law Marian and Fiona, his cherished grandchildren Maria, Patrick, Laura, James, Erris, Jack, Maggie and Lindsay, nephews, nieces, relatives, former colleagues, and many friends. A sincere thank you to Bishop John Fleming for his consoling words to the family and for his lovely tribute to Paddy, thank you to Fr. Kevin Hegarty for a most memorable Funeral Mass and to Fr. Michael Reilly for making the Months Mind Mass so special. Our gratitude also to the priests and sisters who have been so supportive to all our family in these times, Mile Buíochas. To Dr. Keith Swanick, Dr. Fergal Ruane, the Staff of both the Belmullet Community Hospital and Mayo University Hospital, chaplin and paramedics for your medical attention, care, kindness, prayers and to those who donated to Belmullet Community Hospital, go raibh maith agaibh. Our sincere gratitude to Mr Michael Walshe (School Principal) and the Staff and Students of St. Brendan’s College, Belmullet for your eulogy and accolade to Paddy from your school. To Paddy’s cousin John Gallagher and his wife Geraldine, our heartfelt thanks to you both for your constant presence in our difficult days and since – you were a great support. To the editor James Laffey, John Cuffe and staff of the Western People for your tributes to Paddy, a heartfelt thank you. To our good neighbours, fellow business people, relatives and friends who supplied food and refreshments, we are so grateful to you all. To the Staff of McDonnell’s Bar and Funeral Home, Belmullet and to the gravediggers, a sincere thanks to you all for your respect and professionalism during Paddy’s funeral. Thank you most sincerely to the hundreds of people who prayed and celebrated Paddy’s life with us online, during the Funeral Mass and interment. We were moved by all the people who lined the streets of Belmullet and honoured him along the roadsides to bid farewell as Paddy made his final journey. A special thank you to those who sent messages of sympathy through Mass cards, letters, online messages, text messages, enrolments, phone calls and floral tributes to us in remembrance of Paddy, they were very much appreciated. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude. Finally, we would also like to remember in our thoughts and prayers at this time, Paddy’s dear sister Patricia (Tisha), her husband Kevin Rabbett, Paddy’s good friends Seán Coyle and Vincent Murphy and all those who passed during the months that followed Paddy’s passing.
