FITZSIMON, Marie (née Doyle) (Carrickmines, Dublin) - 18th August 2023 (peacefully) at home. Lovingly remembered by her children Stephen, Karen, Garreth, and Vincent, son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Mary and Ruth, grandchildren, sisters Barbara and Annette, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and customers of Ashwood Farm. Predeceased by her husband, Paddy, their baby son Michael, baby grandson Mark and twin brother Sean. Rest in Peace. Marie will repose at home today (Monday) (21st August 2023) from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) morning (22nd August 2023) at St Mary’s Church, Sandyford arriving for 11.00 am, followed by cremation at the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harolds Cross. The Mass and Cremation may be viewed by logging on to the following links: www.sandyfordparish.org https://www.mountjerome.ie/garden-chapel-service/ The family kindly ask for donations to the Irish Cancer Society or Blackrock Hospice instead of flowers.The family would like to thank Dr. John Hastings, The Park Medical Centre, St Columcilles Hospital (Loughlinstown) St Vincent’s Hospital, Home care team of HomeInstead Leopardstown, Blackrock Hospice, The Irish Cancer Society, Night Nursing Service, Leopardstown Primary Care Nurses and colleagues, and all who gave wonderful care and respect to Marie during her short illness.

Very sorry to learn that Marie has died. Marie and Paddy were part of my life on a Saturday morning for over 20 years when we lived in Rathmichael . They were an amazing couple. I used to pick raspberries also in the sweltering heat in that amazing greenhouse. They will be sorely missed. God Bless you always Marie and now Rest In Peace.
