MADDOCK - Michael (Glenville Park, Waterford City) - On the First
Anniversary of Michael's death, we - Christine, Sarah, Jane, Donal, Fonsy, Dave and Geraldine - would like to express our gratitude to those who consoled, sympathised and cared for us in such difficult circumstances. We thank the extended family for their crucial support and gentleness; friends
and neighbours who lined the route from home to the church; Hookes and Crookes, who sang so beautifully; Fr. Gerry Chestnut of the Sacred Heart Church, who comforted Michael before his death and provided him a dignified
and poignant service shortly thereafter; the kind staff of Island Crematorium, Cork; and Thompson Funeral Directors for their quiet professionalism. We also thank Dr. Paul Campbell and Dr. Pat Devlin for their extraordinary empathy. In his work and personal life Michael facilitated the good of others. He remains a much-loved husband, father, brother, yeye, uncle and boatsman.
I will trust in the darkness
and know that my times,
even now, are in Your hand.
