DALY, Eugene January 28, 2014 - Lovingly missed today and every day of the last year by his wife Margaret and sons Conan and Gavin. We are profoundly grateful for the support given to us, both during Eugene's illness and after his death and wish to express our sincere appreciation to all our extended family, friends, neighbours and colleagues who gave us both practical and pastoral support when it was most needed. We were touched by all who attended the Funeral and travelled long distances to be with us along with those who wrote and shared meaningful memories and words of sympathy. We also greatly appreciate the generosity of his colleagues who put together an archive of his work for the Geological Survey of Ireland. Special thanks to Professor Reynolds and his medical team at St. James's Hospital who gave us five precious years with Eugene, to the Homecare Palliative Team for making him more comfortable at home and to the staff of the Blackrock Hospice who sensitively cared for him until his death. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
