LEAHY Fr John SS.CC., (Our Lady of Lourdes, Acton High Street, London and late of Knocknagow, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan), November 27, 2017 (peacefully) at his sisters residence in Limerick. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his Sacred Hearts' Family, his sisters Anne, Mary, Bernie, Teresa, Margaret, Teresa Ryan, brother Michael, extended family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, parishioners and a wide circle of friends. "May his Gentle Soul Rest in eternal Peace" Reposing at Knocknagow today (Tuesday) from 3.00pm until 8.00pm, with removal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 12.30pm to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Ballybay for funeral Mass at 1.00pm, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to Acton Homeless Concern C/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box."To contemplate,live and announce God's love."

Hard to believe it's been a year since John went to heaven. I am so blessed to be his cousin. He is such an inspiration to everyone. I highly recommend listening to his talks on YouTube. Tom McCabe

Have prayed for him since I first heard he was ill. Such a wonderful priest who was so concerned for the poor and homeless. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Fr John's family, friends and all who knee him and mourn for him. He died on the feast of the Miraculous Medal which was fitting as he had a deep devotion to Our Lady. The O'Briens
