MURPHY - Colin, M.B.E., October 15, 2020, (Belfast, Dublin and Newcastle, Co. Wicklow). As we lovingly remember Colin on his First Anniversary, his wife Margaret, daughters Sheelagh and Lynne and son-in-law Goesta wish to extend their sincere thanks to all those who kindly wrote letters of condolence, sent sympathy cards and emails, left messages of condolence on rip.ie and made donations to Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation. The family are very grateful for the help and support from many, including Rev Nigel Waugh and Rev William Bennett for the moving funeral service and more recently Rev Ross Styles. We also thank our neighbours and friends who stood outside Newcastle Parish Church at Colin’s funeral and lined the road to the village. Their continued support is greatly appreciated. We would like to show our appreciation to Colin’s G.P. Dr. Phillip Sheeran-Purcell and his team at Knockrobin for their wonderful care. Colin is sorely missed by all of his family, including his adored grandchildren Evan, Sorcha, Elijah, Jasmine, Abbie, Lukas and Mason.
