KELLY - The family of the late Gerry Kelly of Clogherhead, who died May 26, 2025, would like to express appreciation to all who sympathised with them. We received great support from both the local community and our friends during the days leading up to Gerry's death, those who travelled long distances for the funeral, and phone calls, messages, cards, and flowers.

We are grateful to Clogherhead Lifeboat Station staff, volunteers and crew for providing a Guard of Honour: also the large number of RTE, Rotunda, and Lourdes' Hospital ex-colleagues who attended.

Fr Paul Byrne said a beautiful personal Mass for Gerry, and we thank Fr Oliver Devine, Ballymore for his attendance. Music and singing at Mass and throughout the day celebrated the life of a good person who helped others. Townley's Funeral Directors were exceptional in their kindness and care.

We wish to thank healthcare staff in the many services that Gerry attended over the last ten years: Sunhill Nursing Home looked after both Gerry & Máire, and the staff will always be in our hearts.

A Mass will be celebrated for Gerry at St Michael's Church Clogherhead Sunday July 6 at 12 o'clock.

He followed dreams, stars and ships
