DE GEUS, Erik, (Cabinteely and formerly Amsterdam),On his First Anniversary April 23, 2020. Erik's wife, Helen, son and daughter Mark and Thea would like to express their deep appreciation to all those who supported them and comforted them during Erik's short illness and over the past difficult year. Erik loved life and loved people, he is greatly missed and will always be remembered by all who loved him. We want to sincerely thank our families, friends, colleagues and neighbours who have been there for us with sympathy, support and love over the past year providing practical and emotional assistance. We greatly appreciate those who came to Erik's wake at the house and funeral mass, and have taken much comfort in your many thoughtful cards, letters and messages, phone calls and visits. We want to thank all who cared for Erik in St. Vincent's Private and University Hospitals, in particular the doctors and nursing staff who looked after him so well. It is not possible to thank everyone individually but we want you all to know that your kindness means so much to us. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.

Hey Helen. It's been a year since Erik is no longer with us, he is there among the angels. We had the opportunity to meet him, he was a blind man and a family lover, but of course he also takes care of his family from where he is. May God

Erik was such a warm and welcoming guy. I knew him as my close friend's Dad. Any time I had the pleasure of visiting the De Geus household he would always offer me a drink and would always have a funny story & joke or 2. A true Gent RIP

Desondanks vele pogingen heb ik je nooit terug kunnen vinden tot het te laat was. Je bent altijd een grote invloed in mijn jonge leven geweest, ik ben en zal je nooit vergeten. Joka Morgan/ van der Wijngaart
