O'BRIEN, Vivian (née Playle) (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) October 3, 2021. Peacefully, in the care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved wife of Gerry and adoring mother of Robert, Owen and Joanne. She will be sadly missed by her husband, children, son-in-law Liam, daughters-in-law Cristina and Vanessa, grandchildren Max, Lorcan, Sebastian and Daniel, brothers Steven and Lee, cousin Vicki, niece Julie, nephews, extended family and friends. A special thanks to the management and very caring staff at the Ashbury Nursing Home. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing today (Wednesday) from 3pm to 5pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown for close family and friends. Funeral Mass at 10.00am tomorrow (Thursday) in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium. For those who cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed online using the following link: https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/church-of-the-guardian-​angel​s-blackrock-dublin. Please respect the social distancing and mask wearing protocols at all time. Messages to the family can be left in the ‘Condolences’ section on www.irishtimes.com. Family flowers only please.
