LUCE Prof. John, M.R.I.A., D.Litt., F.T.C.D (1948), died February 11, 2011 after a long and happy life - On the First Anniversary of John's death Lyndall and the family would like to thank most sincerely everyone who sympathised and supported them in many ways during the past year. We remember the wonderful care given to him by the staff of St. Luke's Hospital, Prof. Pierre Therion and his GP Dr George Donald. We would like to express our gratitude to all the relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues who attended the funeral and who wrote letters which brought us much comfort. Heartfelt thanks to Archbishop Michael Jackson for his moving tribute to his former teacher and to the Rev. John Marchant who conducted a beautiful service in Zion Church. Thanks also to John's brother Frank who spoke so warmly about their childhood. We hope that this Acknowledgement will be accepted as recognition of our deep appreciation to you all.A true scholar and sportsman.
