KANE, Benedict (Benny)

KANE - Benedict (Benny) (Ballina, Boston and Lucan),

(December 21, 2000). On his Twentieth Anniversary we remember Benny, husband to Tess, (née Lavin) who died May 28, 2011, father to Ias who died April 3, 2012 and grandfather to Seb who died August 21, 2010. Despite life's many challenges, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life: a game of golf, bridge, Mayo GAA, a walk on the beach and the company of his friends and family. Most of all he enjoyed the cut and thrust of the clothing trade, buying and selling, the texture and line of a well made suit and the thrill of a bargain. Embracing adventure late in life he embarked on an American odyssey which brought great fulfilment. He was a gentle and kind man and is greatly missed by his family; children Vivienne, Kathy, Aideen, Kenny, Leah, Ezi, Gillian and Adele, the outlaws Kieran, Declan, John, Susanne, Dennis, Rosey, Stephen, and Conor and his grandchildren Daniel, Grainne, Aidan, Aisling, Ailbhe, Aoife, Clara, Oscar, Hannah, Ellie, Matthew, Lugh, Gus, Ben, Charlotte, Henry, Arthur, Lucy, Arlo and Gwen.
