BARRETT, James (Jim) (Former City Architect, Limerick and Dublin) (Cork and Donnybrook, Dublin) February 13, 2018 (peacefully) at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Carmel; he will be sadly missed by his wife, children Nóra, Diarmuid and Séamus, grandson Dónal, brothers Pat and Richard, sister Eva, son-in-law Peter and all his extended family and friends. Reposing at home tomorrow (Friday) between 5.00pm and 8.00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in Mount Jerome Victorian Chapel, Harold’s Cross on Saturday (February 17) at 3.00pm, followed by cremation. Deepest sympathies. Jim and my late brother in law Tim Brick worked together in Dublin. Jim was a good man. He changed Limerick for the better. I worked with him on the Liffey Bridges Project. A great sadness has become me. Samuel Walsh
