FLAHERTY - Kathleen (Haverty Road, Fairview, Dublin) - On this First Anniversary of our Mam’s death John, Elizabeth, Robert, Thomas, Brendan, Maura and Edel join with their families in offering sincere thanks to all who supported us in any way in the past year. The personal calls, written and floral tributes, Mass Cards and messages of condolence from so many family members, colleagues, parishioners, neighbours and friends were a great comfort at a deeply distressing time. Our special thanks to the staff of the Sacred Heart Ward, Mater Hospital, where Mam died with such dignity; to Fr. Tom Noone and staff of Marino Parish who welcomed us so warmly despite the strict Covid protocols. We thank Monsignor Dan O’Connor for the very special homily. Thanks also to the members of the Pro-Cathedral Girls’ Choir directed by Blanaid Murphy with Germaine Carlos, whose music greatly enriched the funeral liturgy; to Dr. Patricia Carmody and Dr. Mel Bates and team for their long-term constant medical care of Mam. Although we are heartbroken at her loss, knowing that Mam had such a long and happy life brings us great consolation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered by John, for all your intentions.
