MacSHANE, (née Walsh) Deirdre (Hollybank Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9) - Beloved wife of Diarmuid, and loving mommy of Dearbhla and Dan, died Friday, November 26th, 2021, (peacefully), in Diarmuid’s loving arms, in the special care of the staff at the Mater Private Hospital. Daughter of May and Edward and sister of Siobhan, Aideen and the late Eamonn, Deirdre will be very sadly missed by her devoted family, her parents, sisters, parents-in-law Dermot and Brid, brothers-in-law David and Gearoid, sister-in-law Emer, her nieces and nephews Andrew, Joseph, Nicola, Meadhbh and Tomás, and all her relatives and many friends at home and abroad. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing at home on Hollybank Road this (Monday) afternoon (2 o'clock until 5 o'clock). HSE and Government Covid regulations will apply, with face masks to be worn and no handshakes. Removal tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to Newlands Cross Cemetery Chapel, arriving for a celebration of Deirdre’s awesomeness at 10 o'clock. Following this, the cortège will travel to Mount Venus Cemetery, Rathfarnham, for committal devotions and burial. Those who would like to leave condolences and tell Dearbhla and Dan how awesome their mommy was, are invited to e-mail deirdre@macshane.ie. Family flowers only, please, which will be chosen by Dearbhla and Dan. Donations, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated for Dogs Trust, to celebrate Deirdre’s love of all things canine.
