à MUIRTHILE, Liam, (Dún Laoghaire and formerly Cork City) - May 18, 2018, (peacefully) in Saint Vincent's Hospital. Remembered with love by his wife Caoilfhionn, his sons Rónán, Ciarán, Donncha and Iarla; by their partners; by his grandchildren Ruán, Áine, Cian, Oisín and Eoin; by his brother Séamus, the late Finbarr, sisters Mary, Terry, Siobhán, Elma, Claire, Áine and by all his relatives and friends. Removal today (Monday) May 21 to arrive at 9.40am for 10am Requiem Mass in Holy Family Church, Kill O' the Grange. Followed with prayers and music in St. Gobnait's Church, Cúil Aodha, Co. Cork at 4pm, which precedes his burial in Reilig Ghobnatan, Baile Bhuirne. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam dílis.

I am so upset to hear of the loss of such a great poet. Liam was my lecturer and tutor in St Patrick's College and was such a support for me in developing my creative writing skills through Irish, I will never forget his energy, enthusiasm.
