BYRNE, (Lusk, Co. Dublin formerly Clontarf). Peacefully at his home following a long illness, bravely fought, on 26 November 2024, in the presence of his loving wife, Catherine and daughter Katie. Frank will be sadly missed by his best friend, confidant and beloved wife, Catherine, daughters Katie, Evelyn, Ruth, Sarah and son Edward. His adored grandchildren especially Laura, who helped look after her grandad during his illness, sisters Catherine (Olohan) and Susan (Sex), brother Michael, his sisters-in-law especially Helen Lambert, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Frank will be missed by his wide circle of friends, the Vintage Motorcycle Community and colleagues at Dublin City University. Special thanks to Fr. Bruce Bradley.S.J. and Jim O'Higgins. Thanks also to the staff at CKB Unit and the Community Care Team. We will be forever grateful to the wonderful staff at St. Francis Hospice, Raheny, who supported Frank during his illness. HOUSE IS STRICTLY PRIVATE. Reposing at Fitzgerald Funeral Directors, Rush, on Friday (29th) evening from 5pm-7pm. A funeral service to celebrate Frank’s life will take place on Saturday morning at 10:30am in Dardistown Crematorium, (K67HP26). Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to St. Francis Hospice, Raheny.
