MURPHY, James Joseph (Pacific Palisades, CA) - December 18, 2014, at home. Beloved husband of Sheila, loving father of Sharon, Gary, Susan and Sean, proud grandfather of Ross, Lauren, Ken, Emma, Claire, Anna, Elise and Saige. He introduced us all to the world and taught us how to live well in it. A Service was held yesterday (Monday) in Pacific Palisades, CA and with a Service in Ireland at 10.00am on January 12, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Griffith Avenue, Marino, Dublin 9 with interment to follow at Dardinstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be written to "The Archdiocese of LA fbo Murphy Music Fund" and sent to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, 3424 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, California 90010 for the attention of Paul K. Smith. The Fund, established by James and Sheila Murphy, supports music education at a primary school in central Los Angeles.
