FOLEY, Professor David Patrick, (of Howth Road, Dublin 3, late of Askeaton, Co. Limerick), January 16, 2021, (peacefully) under the excellent care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital following a brave fight against Cancer. Very sadly missed by his loving wife Oonagh, children Alexandra and Hugh, siblings Justin and Emily, sisters-in-law Ann, Joan and Helen, brothers-in-law Ger and Joe, and all extended family and friends. May he Rest in Peace. Due to the Government advice and HSE guidelines, a private funeral will take place for the immediate family only. For those who would have liked to attend the funeral but due to current restrictions cannot, the service can be viewed via webcam on Wednesday, January 20, at 10am by visiting www.stanthonysclontarf.ie/live-feed/ Please feel free to leave a message in the Condolence section on www.irishtimes.com Family flowers only, donations in lieu can be made to the Irish Cancer Society.

Deeply saddened to learn of prof. Foley’s passing. Having saved my life I squeezed his hand to which he said that I was hurting it and would need it to help others. Huge loss.

Saddened to hear of David's death RIP He stented me 5 years ago after a heart attack in the Airport. I'm sur I saw him in the Skipper in Ventry where someone contributed to our meal. I wasn't so I never got to thank him. John Barry Cork
