O'TOOLE, Joe (Taylors Hill, Galway, Tuam and formerly of Claran, Headford, Co. Galway) - 16th March, 2019, peacefully, at UHG. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen, parents John and Celia, brothers Tom and Monsignor Fursey, sisters Bernadette and Veronica. Deeply regretted by his family, his sisters Mary McGath (Shrule) and Theresa Harrison (Manchester), sister-in-law, brother-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, special friend Mary Lardner, his staff and their families at O’Toole’s Supervalu, Tuam. May Joe Rest in Peace. Reposing at O’Toole’s Palace Building, Bishop Street, Tuam this (Monday) afternoon from 2.00 o’c with removal at 7.00 o’c to Cathedral of the Assumption for Mass at 8 o’c. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) at 12 o’c (noon). Funeral afterwards to Killursa Cemetery, Headford. Family flowers only by request. Donations if desired to Palliative Care UHG. Joe O’Toole was a gentleman.​Spoke to his customers as if he knew each one personally. The people of Tuam owe him a debt of gratitude-he has invested so much in the community. Rest In Peace Joe O’Toole
