COONEY, Kieran (Francis St, Dublin and formerly Mallow, Co. Cork), July 9, 2018. Peacefully, after a long illness, in the loving care of Dr. Moya Cunningham and the expert medical, nursing, palliative and support teams in St. Luke’s Hospital Rathgar. Beloved only son of Sean and the late Maureen Cooney, Townview Est., Mallow and cherished husband of Maurice Devlin (Maghera and Dublin). Sadly missed by his loving sisters Fiona, Gráinne, Deirdre, Orla and Niamh; brothers-in-law Dan Lehane, Tadhg Ó Corcora, Michael Umseher and Dermot Cogan; nephews and nieces Sean and Colm Ó Corcora and Muireann Ní Chorcora, Annie, Tom and Kate Umseher (Melbourne), Michael, David, Meadhbh and Diarmuid Cogan, John and Clare Lehane; godchildren Michael Cogan, Annie Umseher, Jane Devlin and Lisa Lydon; the extended Devlin family; uncles, aunts, cousins; and his many dearly loved and loving friends. Lying in repose in Massey Bros Funeral Home 109 The Coombe, Dublin 8, 3.00 until 5.15pm tomorrow (Thursday), followed by a ceremony of remembrance at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, Francis Street, at 6.00pm. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Irish Cancer Society, donations box at church. Funeral Mass will be held in the Church of the Resurrection, Mallow, on Saturday (July 14) at 4.00pm. Cremation private.
