Memories of a Dear Friend

My first memories of my lovely friend Paddy go back to primary school when, aged six, we were thrown out of class for talking and made to stand behind the Father Christmas post box. As early as then, I knew that we would be life long friends.Talking is something Paddy could do. She could talk the hind legs off a donkey. In my experience it was always very meaningful talk. It was to add comfort or to support, to lighten dark times or just to make me laugh. Her laughter filled the room and her positive attitude pervaded everything she said and did. I see it in her two lovely children, Owen and Chrissie. Clearly Paddy did a lovely job bringing them up with such an outlook in life. I will miss her dearly but will think of her, as the life loving person that she was. Good bye for now dear friend, with love Marianne
