COOKE, James (Jim), (late of Killiney, Co. Dublin and retired Director of The Irish Times Newspaper), April 18, 2020, peacefully and in the very loving care of the staff of Glengara Nursing Home following a long illness bravely borne. Lovingly missed by his beloved wife, Georgina, his daughters Nicola and Michele, his Grandchildren, Katie Jane and Will, his brothers and sisters, Frank, Sam, Bertha, Rose, Ann and their late brother, Tom, his brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends. In accordance with current Government guidelines and in the hope of keeping our friends and family safe, Jim’s Funeral will take place privately. Those who would have liked to attend but cannot due to the restrictions, are invited to leave a personal message in the ‘Condolences Section’ of www.irishtimes.com The service is broadcast from 12.00 pm today (Wednesday) l at https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/ss-alphonsus-columba-church-​​ballybrack Family flowers only, donations if desired to the World Health Organisation Global Solidarity Fund for Covid-19. We would like to express our deep appreciation to the staff of Glengara Nursing Home in Glenageary for their tireless work and support during these very difficult times. Always loved.
