McHUGH Dr. Francis Joseph (Knutsford). Died peacefully August 4, 2020 aged ninety-three, with his devoted daughters by his side. Beloved husband of Joan (deceased), survived by his sister Madeleine, predeceased by his brothers Louis and Brian and his sister Sheilagh. Much loved by his children Eithne, Francis (deceased), Brian (deceased) and Nessa. Loved and adored by his grandchildren Fiona, Stephen, Thomas, Laura, Adele, Francis, Rhiannon, Siobhán, Michael, his step-grandchildren Gareth and Karen and his thirteen great grandchildren. Sadly missed by his sons-in-law Steve and Tony and his daughters-in-law Glenys and Lynnsey. Francis qualified as a doctor from Trinity College Dublin in 1950. He practised as a General Practitioner in Manchester, first with his brother Dr. Brian McHugh and then with his brother-in-law Dr. Michael Davitt, having taken over the practice from his father Dr. Francis Assium McHugh. Francis was the doctor for Manchester United for over thirty six years. There will be a private funeral following government guidance. The family kindly request no flowers, but donations to the RNLI are welcome. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date. I am truly sorry for you loss of a great father, grandfather and great grandfather of whom I heard many stories about from our mutual Mchugh cousins. He led a full life and his family await him in heaven. Claire Campbell (Limerick Ireland)
