ATKINSON (née Jackson) (Coolkenno, Tullow, Co. Carlow and formerly of Eagle Hill, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow) - December 23, 2014, in her 102nd year, Frances, beloved wife of the late William and much loved mother of the late Phyllis; sadly missed by her daughters Mabel and Irene, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Funeral Service today (Saturday) at 2 o'c in Hacketstown Parish Church, followed by burial in Clonmore Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society. Donation box in church."The Lord is my Shepherd"
ATKINSON (née Jackson) (Eagle Hill, Hacketstown, Co. Carlow). On the First Anniversary of her death, the family of the late Frances Atkinson wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them in their bereavement, those who attended the funeral (some travelling long distances), called to the house or sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters or messages of condolence. A special word of thanks to Canon Stella Durand and Ven. Andrew Orr for their pastoral care to Frances during her final years, and to Dr. John Phelan, the public health nurses and Linda for their medical care, help and kindness. We would like to thank Canon Stella for conducting the funeral service and Rev. Peter Tarleton, Mr. Richard Codd, Sena (organist) and Muriel (soloist) for their participation. Thanks also to the church wardens, to the kind neighbours and friends who provided refreshments in the Parish Hall, and to Farrell's Undertakers for their professionalism. Finally, a word of thanks to all who donated to the Irish Cancer Society in memory of Frances. Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation.
