CARTY, Joe (Late of Garrymona, Walsh Island County Offaly and formerly of Bord na Móna, Croghan) - Died in his 91st year, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Betty (1998). Much loved father of Joan, Cep, Ann and Derek, adored and adoring grandfather of Barry, Darragh, Ray and Leo, father-in-law and friend of Ross Shorten, Colm Burke, Enda Daly and Amanda Fennelly. Will be sadly missed by his surviving siblings Lill, Jim, Anthony, Dave and Cáit and his large extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Seán, Liam, Moll (Sr Monica), Nellie and Brock. Rest In Peace Joe will be reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest, Portarlington, County Laois (eircode R32 X5XV) on (Monday) evening, October 24th, from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on (Tuesday) morning, 25th October, at 11:20am arriving Church of the Immaculate Conception, Walsh Island, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
