O'BYRNE Paul M.F.R.C.S.I. (Kyleglass House), North Circular Road, Limerick. As we approach Paul's First Anniversary on May 22, 2108. His wife and family would like to gratefully acknowledge the kindness nd expressions of sympathy shown to us on our great loss. We wish to thank Prof. Kevin Conlon, Prof. Ray McDermott and the staff at St. Vincent's Private Hospital and medical team at Mid-Western Cancer Centre, University Hospital Limerick for their care and encouragement throughout Paul's illness. Special thanks to Dr. Criona Burns, Dr. Feargal Twomey and Milford Hospice home care team for their attentive amd compassionate care of Paul in his final weeks and their kindness and support to us. Special thanks to Fr. Des McAuliffe and to all the priests who concelebrated the funeral Mass, Fr. Bonner (Killarney) for attending at the graveside and Griffin's Funeral Directors. We are very grateful to all who called to our home, attended the wake, the funeral Mass and to those who waited patiently in Aghadoe to attend the burial. We sincerely thank Paul's medical colleagues and the local GP community for their support and the management and staff of his much loved Barringtons Hospital (now Bon Secours Limerick) along with his good friends at Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny. In particular thanks to the management and staff of Bon Secours for the Guard of Honour to the Church and again at the Hospital, to those who took part in the Requiem Mass and to an Garda Síochána traffic management. Thanks to Garryowen RFC for honouring Paul and to his former sporting colleagues and friends from Galway, whose large attendance was greatly appreciated. A word of deepest gratitude to our extended families and wonderful friends and neighbours for their practical help in looking after us so well during a very difficult time and for their continued support during the past year. Finally, special thanks to those who sent messages to Paul towards the end of his life and for the many flowers, sympathy cards and letters we have since received. As an acknowledgement of our appreciation, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. Paul's anniversary will be remembered in Our Lady of the Rosary Church , Ennis Road, Limerick, at 10.00am Mass on Sunday, May 27.Forever in our hearts
