HOWIE, Prof. D. I. D. (Ian) (Former Vice-Provost of Trinity College Dublin and late of Taney Lawn, Dublin 14) – July 8, 2018, peacefully, at home, dearly beloved husband for sixty-eight years of Maimie, much loved father of Tricia and Lorna, cherished grandfather of Dawn, Clare, David, Stuart, Mark and great-grandfather of Joanne, Camilla, James and Eva, fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, July 11) at 11.00am in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Merrion Avenue, Blackrock followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross.
