HAYES - Róisín (née Moylan), November 27, 2020 (Ennis Road, Limerick and Dunguaire, Kinvara). On the First Anniversary of her death, John and Alicia acknowledge sincerely the messages we have received remembering Róisín. Special thanks also to the ambulance and emergency personnel, ward 3B nurses and staff, chaplains and consultants of University Hospital Limerick for their care of her. Again, we recognise John Thompson and his team for undertaking the funeral and burial arrangements so considerately. Our gratitude too goes to the priests of Our Lady of the Rosary parish, Frs. Des McAuliffe, P.P. and Tom Ryan; the organist, Colette Davis; the soloists, Sinéad O’Brien, Dr. Sinéad McEvoy and Sinéad Moylan; the readers, Mary McEvoy and Gráinne McFeely; the parish clerk, Margaret Clifford and, not least, those who stood outside the church in the cold, for making Róisín’s Requiem Mass so moving. Thanks also to Fr. Hugh Clifford, P.P., who presided at her burial in Mount Cross cemetery, Kinvara. Finally, we deeply appreciate the love extended by our wider family especially her sister Mary O’Moore and by friends, former colleagues, fellow musicians, singers and performers at that chilling time. In the intervening year, many others have recalled for our comfort memories of a bright light so suddenly and too soon extinguished.
