LYONS (née Walton) Bernadette (Bernie) Sandycove, Co. Dublin - April 12, 2014, (peacefully) in the wonderful care of all the staff in the Cedar Ward St. Vincent's Private Hospital, beloved wife of John, loving mother of Catherine (Crowe), Johnny, Gary and Libby; will be very sadly missed by her family, sons-in-law Pat and Tom, daughters-in-law Aisling and Heather, adoring grandchildren Lucy, Harry, Sally, Emily, Suzy, Jenny, Ali, Julie, John, Sadie, Clara and Fiona, sisters Mary, Catherine and Rosa, brothers-in-law Des, John, Kieran, Gerald and Danny, sisters-in-law Maeve, Helen and Noreen, nephews, nieces and friends. Reposing at her home today (Monday) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal tomorrow (Tuesday) to St. Joseph's Church, Glasthule arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass and thereafter to Newlands Cross Crematorium.

On this, the First Anniversary, Bernadette's husband John, children Catherine, Johnny, Gary and Libby, their spouses Pat, Aisling, Heather and Tom together with her sisters Mary, Catherine and Rosa and all her beloved and adoring grandchildren wish to offer sincere thanks to everyone for the kindness, love and support shown to us after the sad loss of Bernadette. A special thanks to all friends and neighbours who attended at her home Somerleyton and Funeral Mass especially those who travelled long distances. Your Mass cards, letters and expression of sympathy and support have been a great source of comfort even if we have been unable to acknowledge them individually. It is of great comfort to us to know that Bernadette was so loved by so many, we miss her every day. We thank Dr. David Fennelly and all the medical and nursing staff of the Cedar Ward at St. Vincent's Private Hospital for their care and kindness shown to Bernadette. We also thank Fr. Billy Farrell and Fr. Bill Fortune for their sensitivity and pastoral care. A special thanks to Ronan Murray and the choir of St. Joseph's Church, Glasthule of which Bernadette was a member for almost forty years. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our gratitude. We will remember you all at Bernadette's Anniversary Mass tomorrow Sunday April 12, at 11.30 a.m.Little things mean a lot
