Maurice was generous and fair in his literary criticism as he was when editing his fellow poets. Resquiat.

My sincere condolences to Maurice's wife, Maura, and to their extended family, on his death. Maurice was an exemplary scholar and professor in the English Department at UCD for many years. He leaves an important literary legacy. May his kind soul rest in peace.
